During the last few years, we all faced and are still facing extreme difficulties treating our patients while more and more devices are being withdrawn from the market. A simple example are the lacking of compliant Rashkind catheters.
Until (hopefully) a real and general solution of the MDR problem is found, we, in the council of the Interventional Cardiology WG, decided to start a project to create an alternative devices database. We created a file with different, partly alternative to disappearing ones devices used by us and other experts. The listing can be found on this page and contains hyperlinks that will become active when you press CTRL+left mouse click.
This is considered to be an ongoing project with the database file being updated by all WG members. The information provided is the responsibility of the people providing, not of the AEPC.
Please feel free to provide additional information for inclusion, we believe it will help us all to treat our patients better!!
