We have been informed that several members received a phishing email this afternoon. Please remain cautious when receiving emails sent as if coming from AEPC.
The email address used impersonates AEPC President Jan Janoušek and uses the following address: presidentboardsteering@gmail.com
The subject of the email is ' AEPC' and contains the following initial message:
Dear,
I hope this email finds you well? I know you're busy but could you please spare me a few minutes out of your time?
Let me know so I can share some more information with you. I look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards
Jan Janoušek
Responding to this email will follow with a request to transfer funds.
We advise you to block & report this email address as spam/phishing.
Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about such emails being sent, other than urging you to remain cautious when receiving an email sent on behalf of AEPC, and to always verify with a known email address.
AEPC does not solicit funds via its Council.
