We are happy to announce the completion of the fully revised AEPC recommendations for basic training in paediatric & congenital cardiology.
With sincere gratitude to the AEPC Education Committee, and specifically Ruth Heying, who in collaboration with the AEPC Working Groups, compiled the necessary details to create this important document outlining the minimum requirements to become a paediatric and congenital cardiologist.
The entry criteria for training in paediatric and congenital cardiology are a minimum of 3 years training in general paediatrics (including at least 6 months in neonatal / paediatric intensive care). The duration of training in paediatric and congenital cardiology is a minimum period of 3 years.
