The AEPC-JSPCCS Young Investigator Exchange Program is now open for applications, offering AEPC Junior Members a unique opportunity to broaden their clinical and research experience through an international exchange in Japan.
Created in collaboration with the Japanese Society of Pediatric Cardiology & Cardiac Surgery (JSPCCS), the program aims to strengthen international collaboration while supporting the professional development of the next generation of paediatric cardiologists.
Successful applicants will spend a minimum of four weeks at one of three leading paediatric cardiology centres in Japan between October 2026 and September 2027. In return, JSPCCS fellows will visit European centres as part of the reciprocal exchange programme.
Up to three AEPC Junior Members will be selected. AEPC will reimburse the cost of an economy return flight to Japan and provide €1,000 towards accommodation and daily expenses.
Applicants must:
Be an AEPC Junior Member in good standing for at least one year.
Submit the online application form.
Include a letter of intent describing their scientific or clinical interests.
Include a short CV.
Provide a signed letter of support from their supervisor confirming permission for a minimum four-week visit.
The application deadline is 1 September 2026.
