Last updates Jan 30, 2025

We are happy to announce an open position on the AEPC Educational Committee (EC) and invite passionate, experienced colleagues to join us in shaping the future of education in pediatric and congenital cardiology for a minimum period of 5 years.

The EC is dedicated to ensure uniformly high standards of training across Europe. Since 2022, we have established the AEPC Certificate of Basic Training in Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology to support this mission.

Comprising a team of international colleagues, the AEPC EC is committed to advance education in the field.

Permanent members include the Secretary General (AEPC Council), the Junior Member Representative, and a representative from the Working Group on Nursing and Allied Health Professionals

Key responsibilities of the EC include:

  • Organizing the "AEPC/ERN Heart beats for education" webinar series
  • Setting and evaluating the AEPC exam and logbooks
  • Endorsing educational activities and research projects within AEPC
  • Proposal of EC-sessions within AEPC annual meetings

As an EC member, you will play a crucial role in organizing AEPC/ERN webinars and supporting initiatives that enhance learning opportunities for pediatric and congenital cardiologists.

If you are an ordinary or senior AEPC member in good standing, committed to education and eager to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply!

Please send your CV and a short letter outlining your motivation and experience by email to office@aepc.org by 1 March 2025.

For any questions, feel free to contact us. We look forward to your applications.

Ruth Heying, Chair AEPC Educational Committee

Ina Michel-Behnke, AEPC Secretary General
