During AEPC 2026 Padua an initial get together was held to go through next steps to establish the new AEPC task force on artificial intelligence.
Step 1 - First of all - You can of course still join the task force as a member.

However, if you are interested to be more actively involved and to drive the task force, we invite you to submit your candidacy for the task force council!
Step 2 - AEPC AI Task force Council elections - Call for nominations
For the initial elections, we are looking to elect the following 5 positions - All 3 year positions:
Chairperson
Secretary
Treasurer
Councillor
Junior Councillor
The following requirements will apply:
Any candidate needs to be an AEPC member in good standing.
Candidates should - preferably - not hold positions on other (Working Group) Councils.
Officers (Chair - Secretary - Treasurer) should come from different countries.
We invite interested members to send in their nomination - motivation letter & CV - to the AEPC office (office@aepc.org).
Deadline to submit your nomination: 17 August 2026
Step 3 - The nominations process will be followed by an online voting process.
The council elections process should be completed by early September 2026.
