Register now for the International Symposium on Paediatric Inherited Cardiac Disorders!
The symposium will take place from 14-16 October 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, at Barcelona Children’s Hospital Sant Joan de Déu with the possibility to participate on-site or online.
Three days dedicated to inherited cardiac disorders, paediatric arrhythmias and emerging therapies
We are delighted to invite you to the International Symposium on Paediatric Inherited Cardiac Disorders, a three-day, practice-oriented meeting bringing together international experts in inherited cardiac diseases, paediatric electrophysiology, genetics and precision medicine.
The scientific programme will combine state-of-the-art lectures, challenging clinical cases, multidisciplinary discussions and hands-on workshops, with a strong focus on translating the latest advances into everyday clinical practice. Topics will include gene therapy and other emerging treatments for inherited cardiomyopathies and channelopathies, artificial intelligence, remote monitoring, genetic testing and precision medicine.
A major part of the meeting will be the BRUPED Networking Event, the first European networking event specifically dedicated to paediatric Brugada syndrome. Clinicians, researchers, geneticists, data scientists, nurses, patient representatives and early-career professionals will come together to discuss current challenges and future developments in the field. The programme will also contribute to the development of the European BRUPED Registry and the BRUPED-RISK precision medicine initiative.
Participants will have the opportunity to join interactive hands-on sessions, including the VUS Camp - Genetic Variant Interpretation and the Paediatric Arrhythmias Bootcamp - Interactive ECG & Simulation, as well as a dedicated Brugada Brothers’ ECG Masterclass.
The final day will be devoted to a practical Paediatric Arrhythmia Course, addressing new technologies and challenging areas such as leadless pacing, ICDs, lead extraction, ablation in infants, remote monitoring, advanced genetic testing, sports and channelopathies, fertility preservation and psychological care.
The symposium is aimed at paediatric cardiologists, cardiologists, paediatricians, geneticists, nurses, researchers, residents and fellows, as well as all professionals with a special interest in inherited cardiac disorders and paediatric arrhythmias.
Reduced registration fees are available for residents and fellows.
Special opportunity for junior colleagues: reduced registration fees are available for residents and fellows, together with a limited number of registration grants for eligible junior participants.
Junior colleagues interested in applying for a grant are invited to contact us before completing their registration at hospitalbarcelona.bruped@sjd.es. Applications will be reviewed by the organising team.
We look forward to welcoming you to Barcelona for three days of science, hands-on learning, collaboration and networking!
